Venus Control Suite Data Studio: How do I set up an RSS or data feed?

This article explains how to set up an RSS or data feed in Data Studio within Venus Control Suite. These data sources allow external data (such as RSS or XML feeds) to be used in content and data-driven displays.

  • Control System: Venus Control Suite (Cloud Hosted)

Steps

The display must be compatible with data feeds to use this feature.

For information on supported displays and data, refer to:

Data feeds pull information from an external internet source. Acceptable data feeds include:

  • Time
  • Temperature
  • RSS feeds
  • XML feeds

This data can then be displayed on designated display(s). 

Using Data Studio

Systems using Venus Control Suite apps will need to configure data feeds through Data Studio.

Scheduled Atom or XML Data Packages
Data feeds can also be configured in Content Studio within Venus Control Suite.
