Data Studio: How do I create social media feeds in Venus?

Topic

  • How do I create social media feeds in Data Studio in Venus Control Suite (VCS)?
  • Follow the RSS Generator instructions to create the RSS output with whatever parameters are appropriate - This will give an URL that can be entered in Data Studio as a data feed to build content.

Requirements:

Moderation Tool
Utilizing an aggregation or moderation tool is recommended for monitoring social media accounts and content. Accounts lacking moderation could lead to the posting of undesirable content.

RSS Generator
Social media accounts need to be converted into an RSS feed. For optimal performance, select an RSS Generator service that offers a 30-minute refresh rate, preserves content without deletion, and is ad-free.

RSS Generator Services
The cost for RSS Generator services varies, with options ranging from free to under $20 per month. While free services may impose limitations such as slower refresh rates and the inclusion of ads in feeds, some organizations have successfully used the FetchRSS advanced account.
