Chatham to See New Daktronics Video Displays at Glenwood High School

BROOKINGS, S.D. – July 24, 2018 – Glenwood High School in Chatham, Illinois, will install two new LED scoring displays for outdoor sports from Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, in August. Thanks to local sponsorship, the new football, soccer and track and field video and audio equipment will be almost entirely paid for by the Chatham community.

A stadium scoring system will include a 13.5-foot-high by 24-foot-wide video display, Sportsound® 1500HD sound system and outdoor LED multisport scoreboard. The school will also install an outdoor video message and sound system for soccer and track.

Dusty Burk, director of athletics at Ball-Chatham School District, said the school spoke with multiple display companies with good reputations, but Daktronics offered the most favorable bid and was very knowledgeable about their process and what it entails.

"What we appreciated most from Daktronics was they communicated with us and had a willingness to be on our campus for the process, even before everything was approved," Burk said. "It's the little things like that that go above and beyond."

The Daktronics Sports Marketing team helped Glenwood High School secure the community sponsorships. Burk said the unique combination of equipment they are installing will be beneficial to the advertisers who sponsored them and to the school district.

"It's a win-win for us and the businesses," Burk said. "People are really looking forward to seeing them up and running."
