Media kit distribution in Venus Control Suite

A Daktronics Media Kit is a collection of digital assets provided by Daktronics for use with their display systems, particularly those using the Venus Control Suite. The kit includes a variety of media elements such as backgrounds, animations, and graphic elements that can be used to create engaging and dynamic content for LED displays.

Steps

Enable via the settings page.

There are 2 locations to enable the Daktronics Media Kit.  

  1. Navigate to Scheduling App or to Web Editor App. 
  2. Open the settings.  This the gear ⚙️ icon in the lower left corner. 
  3. Under Media Kit Management, choose Enable. 

  

View items from the Media Kit from the Media Library

Navigate to the Media Library via Scheduling App or Web Editor. 

To switch to the Media Kit view, select the Daktronics Media Kit button. 

   

Find Media Kit assets when creating a presentation in the Web Editor. 
  1. To add an image, select the image icon  or Add Media at the top. Items from the media library will populate.
  2. Select the Daktronics Media Kit tab to see the content.  Select the item to add to your presentation.

  1. Navigate to the Properties tab, on the right-hand side, to alter the properties of the media. 
    • The Content section can be used to alter the type of media and background color of the media field.
    • The Position section can be used to alter the size and position properties of the image. Or, click and drag the image to alter the size and position.
Add Daktronics directly to your playlist.
  1. Click + in the top corner of the Media Files tile. The Select Media menu will slide-out from the right side. 
  2. Select the Daktronics Media Kit tab.  Locate the desired media. 
  3. Select the desired media file(s) from the list within the Select Media menu by clicking +. The Media files list will populate with the selected media files. 
  4. Click on the X in the top right corner to close the slide-out.
