Venus Control Suite Media: What if My Display Doesn’t Have a Matching Media Kit?

Potential Symptoms

  • Some displays, especially those with unique aspect ratios, may not have a dedicated Media Kit available in Venus Control Suite.
  • This article explains how to locate and use the next closest media kit aspect ratio when your exact display size is not listed.

Cause

Why You May Not See a Matching Media Kit
Media Kits in Venus Control Suite are available for most common display aspect ratios. If your display’s aspect ratio is especially wide or tall, it may fall outside of the current Daktronics Media Kit.

Media Kits are currently not available for displays with:

  • Aspect ratios wider than 5:1
  • Aspect ratios taller than 1:2

Resolution

When this occurs, Venus Control Suite will display all available Media Kit sizes.

  1. Scroll through the Daktronics Media Kit in the Web Editor or Scheduling App.
  2. Select the closest aspect ratio available based on your display’s shape.
  3. Guidelines:
    • Ultra-Wide displays (wider than 5:1): use the 2000x400 Media Kit
    • Very tall displays (taller than 1:2): select a Media Kit with a similar vertical layout

💡 Note: Some content may require cropping or resizing, and not all animations or layouts will fit perfectly.

  1. While this content is not a perfect fit, it is the closest supported format and can be adjusted as needed.
