Women In Sports Online Event in June Focuses On Insights from Coaching and Athletics Business Experience

Nadalie Walsh leans on her experiences as she empowers women in sports to reach their highest potential

BROOKINGS, S.D. – May 27, 2025 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has scheduled its next Women In Sports Online Event for June 17 at 10:30 a.m. CT. Nadalie Walsh, most recent women’s gymnastics head coach at the University of Illinois, is joining this event to share her experiences as a coach and in the world of athletics.

“I’m looking forward to hearing from Nadalie, who has more than a decade in the sports industry as a coach and who has authored a book on her philosophy and passion for building a culture in athletics,” said Val Ellens, services marketing for Daktronics. “I’m excited to see how her take on teamwork could shape the way we think about collaboration in sports business.”

In her eight seasons as head coach, the Illini have multiple top finishes at the NCAA regional competition and Big Ten Championships. She has coached numerous athletes to All-American performances and conference titles while also prioritizing academic excellence. 

Prior to the University of Illinois, Walsh spent time in coaching roles at Utah State, Ball State and University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. 

Beyond her coaching success, Walsh has spearheaded initiatives that positively impact athletes and the community with an added dedication to mental wellness. She also authored a book, Enough: A Coach’s Guide To Creating The Culture Every Athlete Deserves, which shares her unique philosophy that investing in each athlete is crucial for creating a positive team culture.
