Sales Expo 2025 Strengthens Sign Company Partnerships and Showcases Design Excellence

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Oct. 8, 2025 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, recently hosted its annual Sales Expo, welcoming 51 professionals from 28 sign companies for three days of hands-on training, product exploration and peer networking. The event included 29 first-time attendees, reflecting a growing interest in digital signage innovation and industry collaboration.

“Sales Expo is more than a showcase. It’s a strategic opportunity to build relationships and empower our partners with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed,” said Tom Quackenbush, market manager for the on-premise division at Daktronics. “We’re proud to see how our partners are using our technology to elevate their designs and deliver real value to their customers.”

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the Daktronics manufacturing facilities in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, and Brookings, South Dakota, and engage directly with the professionals in Lab Services, where they conduct rigorous testing to ensure product reliability and performance. Training sessions featured Venus Control Suite, Daktronics cloud-based software for display management, along with a product showcase and hands-on learning stations to discover how to make the most of Daktronics products and services.

“Our goal is to make it easier for sign companies to promote and deliver Daktronics digital displays with confidence,” said Jess Bern, marketing strategist for on-premise. “Getting up close and personal with Daktronics staff, our products and services is an important aspect of that process.”

A key moment was a sales-focused session led by Daktronics Sales Manager Tom Coughlin, where attendees gathered in small groups to discuss business strategies, share experiences and learn from one another. The interactive format encouraged open dialogue and peer-to-peer learning, which attendees described as one of the most valuable aspects of the Expo. Feedback emphasized the importance of networking with other sign companies and the Daktronics team, highlighting the collaborative spirit that defines Sales Expo.

Another highlight of the event was the Sign Design Contest, where attendees voted on standout installations in two categories: Galaxy 49 sq. ft. and Smaller, and Galaxy 50 sq. ft. and Larger.

“The overall design was developed to give the customer’s signs a more modern look and provide similar content to what they use on social media,” said Al Jacobi, sign consultant at Plastic Arts.

Galaxy 50 sq. ft. and Larger Category Winner: Pinnacle Sign Group – Springfield, Missouri
Pinnacle Sign Group won with their vibrant display for Great Southern Bank, incorporating a 10mm GT6X 468x216 LED board.
