Daktronics Expands Aviation Team to Meet Growing Demand

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Mar. 12, 2024 – As airports enhance the traveler experience through automation and technology, Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, is expanding its aviation sales team to meet growing needs.

Jay Bouton joins Daktronics to focus on aviation business development. Chris Van Liew joins Daktronics as the aviation sales manager. Both serve on the aviation sales team within the transportation market at Daktronics. Derek Dorow also joins the team to provide pre-sales technical expertise for highly complex projects.

“Daktronics provides more than 30 years of experience in airports,” says Kevin Palmeter, aviation market manager at Daktronics. “With the addition to our aviation team, we are poised to provide unprecedented attention and expertise to the airport industry. Airports are embracing large-format, complex indoor applications. We are excited to expand the team to help aviation professionals communicate with travelers in new and exciting ways.”

The dedicated aviation team is supported by the regional sales team and ProAV team as well as the engineering team at Daktronics.

Automation and technology are on the rise in today’s airports. The effective use of large-format LED video display technology can provide a flexible and efficient facility, create a consistent sense of place and enhance the traveler experience. The team is eager to provide solutions to the airport industry, showcasing how LED display technology can be used throughout facilities.
