CTI and Daktronics Partner for LED Video Wall Installation in George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum
Video feature welcomes and informs guests at new 29,000-square-foot space
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Sept. 20, 2024 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, in partnership with CTI, the largest privately held AV integration and events provider in the United States, has provided an LED video wall in Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion, a new 29,000-square-foot space inside the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum on campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
The installation took place over the summer months and is fully operational to welcome guests and provide additional information and ambiance in the pavilion, which opened in June. The overall expansion project coincided with the 100th birthday of George H.W. Bush.
"Daktronics offers an excellent display, but their support really sets them apart," noted CTI, the AV integrator that integrated the display, adding, "The thought that's gone into their product and training help ensure a smooth and trouble-free installation. That's invaluable, especially when working on a massive video wall like this one."
LED Video Wall Details
To improve the visual aesthetics of the space, the new video wall measures 19 feet high by 35 feet wide. It features 1.5-millimeter pixel spacing to deliver crisp, clear imagery with high resolution to bring an improved viewing experience for all visitors to the space.
“The pavilion expansion is a very large, bright and beautiful space which features historical exhibits where telling a multimedia story with bold and vibrant visuals is extremely important,” said Quinn Rice, Daktronics sales representative. “Daktronics’ high-resolution display technology enhances the visitor experience and tells the story and legacy of the 41st President through the use of curated multimedia content.”
The display features variable zoning capabilities allowing it to show one large image or video, but also to show multiple zones of content if desired. This includes live and pre-recorded video, customized graphics and animations, and other information or real-time data as needed.
The Pavilion also features additional audio, control and signage equipment for a complete audiovisual experience in the space, as delivered and integrated by CTI.
Daktronics offers a line of narrow pixel pitch LED displays ranging from 2.5-millimeters down to 0.7-millimeter pixel spacings. This product line brings expansive opportunities to those spaces commonly associated with LCD technology to create luxurious and immersive environments, share artistic digital content or show detailed, high-quality video.
