Revamped Experience For Harrah's Cherokee Center – Asheville with New Daktronics Displays

11 LED displays set to entertain visitors to sporting and special events

BROOKINGS, S.D. – May 17, 2021 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has helped deliver a revamped experience at Harrah's Cherokee Center – Asheville (HCCA) in North Carolina, with the installation of 11 LED displays over the past year. A new marquee welcomes guests while massive indoor video displays will engage and entertain visitors during main events.

"Adding Daktronics' state of the art digital video software and LED signage platform to our venue has drastically enhanced the look, feel and attitude of our arena as well as provided us with a signature appeal and technology capability to attract event promoters and organizers that will generate revenue for years to come," said Chris Corl, general manager of HCCA.

The two large end wall displays each measure 10.5 feet high by 47 feet wide and feature 6-millimeter pixel spacing to bring vibrant imagery to visitors. Additionally, two ribbon displays mounted to the seating fascia each measure 2 feet high by 156 feet long and feature 15-millimeter pixel spacing to add to the atmosphere of every event.

The main video displays are capable of variable content zoning allowing each to show one large image or to be divided into multiple zones to show any combination of live video, instant replays, statistics and game information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

"The addition of these LED displays at Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville has provided a new feel to this great venue," said Corey Williams, Daktronics sales representative. "They'll offer many new opportunities to engage with fans. HCCA had a vision of what the fan experience inside and outside of their venue might look like, and it has been an honor to be able to help them recognize their vision."

Six courtside scorer's tables were added to the inside of the facility. Each LED table measures 2 feet high by 8 feet wide and features 6-millimeter pixel spacing. These allow for additional statistics and graphics to be shown while also providing the opportunity to highlight sponsors throughout events.

Outside of HCCA, a new marquee display was installed to welcome guests as they arrive for events. This outdoor Daktronics display measures 3.5 feet high by 12 feet wide and features 10-millimeter pixel spacing to share current and upcoming event information as well as any other promotional messages the venue desires.
