Daktronics Brings Largest Display in College Baseball to Mississippi State

2,600 square feet of video and graphics to entertain Bulldog fans

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Aug. 23, 2016 – Bulldog baseball fans will have a large reason for excitement next season at Dudy Noble Field, Polk-DeMent Stadium in Starkville, Mississippi, as Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, will design, manufacture and install the largest LED video display in college baseball for Mississippi State University. The display will measure 43 feet high by 60 feet wide for a total of nearly 2,600 square feet making it 45% bigger than the next largest display in college baseball.

"The new video board is an exciting first step in our ambitious baseball stadium project," MSU Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin said. "Completing it in time for the 2017 season gets that part of the renovation in place and will allow workers to move quickly on substantial construction once the upcoming season is complete."

To bring excellent image clarity and contrast, the display features 15HD pixel layout with wide angle visibility to appeal to every seat in the stadium. It is capable of variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image or to be separated into multiple zones to show any variety of live video, instant replays, statistics and game information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

"We're looking forward to having a hand in providing Bulldog fans with the best overall game-day experience possible at baseball games in Starkville," said Andrew Rice, Daktronics sales representative. "Providing a larger digital canvas allows the university versatility to show various forms of content while also showing all the important game information fans expect. It will be exciting to see everything installed and fired up on game day."

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology features industry-leading environmental protection for a long lifetime with consistent performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
