See Sports Wire 4000 conditional play sequence, use select frame in DMP-7000  for information on how to configure conditional sequences for DMP-7000 Players

Steps

Conditional Play Sequences offer the ability to display different sequences based on the status of the game (Not Started, In Progress, Finished, Delayed).   The example below illustrates the 4 frames that are supported by the conditional play sequence.

What you need to know:

  • The Out-of-Town interface sends a Select Frame command based on the game status.  This tells the DMP-8000 to play the appropriate frame/layout. Make sure that your files are played in "Select Frame" mode on Show Control.

Configure zones

  1. Create a separate zone for each game on the DMP-8000.
  2. Assign unique sign numbers for each zone in the DMP-8000 interface.
Create content
  1. In Content Studio, Create a presentation with 7 layouts, each for the different points within the game. The content must be named OOTGameX where X=Game Number from "Expanded Sign Configurations" setup on output port setup.
    • Layout 1: Not Started
    • Layout 2: In progress
    • Layout 3: Final
    • Layout 4: Delayed
    • Layout 5: Used for Game With Note
    • Layout 6: Blank or Team Graphics used when number of games doesn't match how the display is configured (i.e. only three games but you are showing four games per display)
    • Layout 7: Red Zone
  2. Save presentations to a folder on the DMP-8000 named to match the setup being used:
    1. For Out-of-Town, use the library name entered in your output configuration
    2. For Sports Wire 4000, "Output_7" for output #7 (using the number that matches the output you will setup below)

Set up the output in Sports Wire 4000 or Data Studio Baseball

Sports Wire 4000:

  1. Create a new output.
  2. In Sports Wire, use the output type: "Expanded Scores -Enhanced RTD"
  3. The "Expanded Sign Configuration" window lets you map each game in Sports Wire to a specific Sign Number.  Map each game to match the sign numbers on the DMP-8000.
  4. Under ERTD Configurations select "Use Select Frame (DMP-7000)"
    • The "Use Start Sequence (DMP-8000)" is not needed now that the DMP-8000 can use select frame.
    • Make sure DCGI mode is disabled in the output of Sports Wire.
  5. Restart Sports Wire after setting up the new sign numbers.
Data Studio Baseball:
  1. Create a new output. See: Data Studio Baseball: How do I configure outputs for Out-of-Town?
  2. Output Type- Choose Expanded Scores.
  3. Content Control- Choose Select Frame for conditional content.
    1. Under Sign Numbers, enter the Sign number that corresponds to the zone sign numbers created on your DMP-8000 player.
    2. Under Library, enter the library created above when saving content from Content Studio. (Ex: Output_7)

Set up an RTDPlaySequence in a Show Control button.

  1. Create a new script button
  2. Select System Control -> Advanced -> Play
Note: Advanced Option Under System Control is Missing from Display Studio, DD3446767
  3. On Step 4, "Sign Number" should be the respective ERTD sign number to the sign you are playing out to
  4. Type in the name of the conditional play presentation on the DMP-8000
  5. On Step 5, use "Select Frame"
  6. Select Save

After confirming that game one is operating correctly and that the sequence has the desired layout, repeat the steps above for each "Game Window" that you created, changing out the sign numbers in Step 3 of the button process and using the appropriate RTD fields in Content Studio on the layouts for each situation.  Ex:  If you are displaying 4 games at the same time, you will create 4 sequences.  The Game 2 window will use the Game 2 RTD fields.   The Game 3 window will use the Game 3 RTD fields …and so on.
