Potential Symptoms
- When publishing presentations to the display and clicking NO to the overwrite message the Venus 1500 software randomly publishes a presentation to the display.
Environment
- Venus 1500 v4.18.1 or lower
- EBR Radios
Cause
- There is an issue with the display memory card not remembering timestamps and DST and when Publishing to a display using EBRs with very slow connection speed, it can take several minutes every time someone publishes.
Resolution
- Follow How do I update or download Venus 1500 v4 software? DD1993540 to update Venus 1500 v4 to the latest version.
Step 2: Once Software is Updated, re-publish presentations and playlist out to the display twice.
- Follow How do I publish changes to my display in Venus 1500 v4? DD2093330 to republish content.
- After publishing a 2nd time, you should no longer see presentations randomly publishing.
Note: If after publishing content, and they still are sending out randomly:
- Re-open each presentation that is being resent in Content Studio by clicking the Content Tab, select the presentation and click Edit.
- Click on the Orange V Application menu, click Save.
- This will save new timestamps on the presentations. Then follow Step 2 above to re-publish content.
