Potential Symptoms
- Troubleshoot Panasonic webcam issues
- Troubleshoot "No Video" web cam issues
Environment
- Product:

- Control System:
Resolution
Attempt to view the webcam to determine if issue is with the video server or the webcam (reference the WV-CP280 / CP284 camera manual if needed).
- If webcam loads but get No Video the issue is between the video server and the camera.
- If webcam loads but image is distorted issue is likely a loose video or power cable connection.
- If webcam page does not load issue is in the video server itself or the network (e.g. check that the IP address has not changed).
Remote troubleshooting procedure
No Video- Verify that the correct port is being viewed.
- From the live view screen, click the drop down underneath the Source header.
- Select Quad Stream.
- If video is displayed in a quarter of the screen click on it to determine which video feed it is and then reconfigure the video server to use that feed as its Default Live View Video source (this is under the Layout portion of the Live View Config heading within the Axis setup).
- If window remains blank will need onsite service to troubleshoot the connections between the video server and the webcam, consider sending BNC and webcam power cables applicable for the site.

- If server is found verify you can view the webcam through the computer.
- If able to view webcam through computer but not externally verify that IP settings are correct on the video server and if those are correct verify the forwarding rules are setup correctly on the router).
- If unable to detect video server through computer attempt to iBoot it if possible and then try detecting it again.
- If server is found verify you can view the webcam through the computer.
- If unable to connect to the video server locally through the computer, onsite service will be needed to further troubleshoot, consider sending a replacement video server and cat 5 cable long enough to reach from video server to networking equipment in the enclosure.

- If power going in is correct but will not turn on will need to be replaced.
- If not getting a network link, power cycle and see if link returns. Unable to view or detect Axis video server. DD2581387
- If network link does not return verify the network cable is seated properly on the video server as well as at the switch in the enclosure.
- If no issues are found with the network cable connections try plugging the video server into a known working port on the switch.
- If still not getting a network link temporarily run a new cable to the video server to determine if the one in place is bad.
- If cable is found bad properly install the replacement.
- If not getting a network link with a known working port and a different network cable replace the video server.
