Resolution

  • Follow the Quick Guide: USB to Ethernet adapter Quick Guide, DD1790707 .  This guide will provide installation instructions for the D-Link adapter as well as system requirements.
    • Note when using an ethernet adapter to communicate to Daktronics display we should be using the "Daktronics Deafult" IP scheme
      • All setups with a USB to Ethernet adapter should be setup as follows:
        • Display
          • IP - 172.16.192.25
          • SM - 255.255.0.0
          • DG - 172.16.192.14
        • USB adapter 
          • 172.16.192.20
          • SM - 255.255.0.0

Configuration with CD

  1. Make sure D-Link is not plugged into the computer.
  2. Insert disc into CD-ROM.
  3. The CD should run automatically. If it does not, navigate to the CD-ROM drive and double-click the CDStart.exe file.
  4. Click the image of the device you are installing.
  5. Click Install D-Link DUB-E100 Drivers.
  6. Click Next when the InstallShield Wizard opens.
  7. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.
  8. Click Install.
  9. Plug the Ethernet adapter in an open USB port on the control computer when prompted and click OK.
  10. When the driver successfully installs the D-Link adapter it should show up as D-Link USB2.0 Ethernet Adapter under "Network adapters" in Device Manager.

Configuration without CD using Daktronics FTP site for obtaining the Daktronics D-Link driver:

  1. Make sure D-Link is not plugged into the computer.
  2. Go to https://dakfiles.daktronics.com/  and download drivers.
  3. Navigate through the following directories: Click on venus1500 -> utils -> USBEthernet -> Driver -> Install.html.
  4. Click the image of the device you are installing.
  5. Click Install D-Link DUB-E100 Drivers.
  6. Click Next when the InstallShield Wizard opens.
  7. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.
  8. Click Install.
  9. Plug the Ethernet adapter in an open USB port on the control computer when prompted and click OK.
  10. When the driver successfully installs the D-Link adapter it should show up as D-Link USB2.0 Ethernet Adapter under "Network adapters" in Device Manager.
  11. If unable to install drivers, restart computer and try to install drivers again for D-Link adapter.
