Venus Control Suite Web Editor: How to Format Data Fields in a Presentation?

Use the formatting options in the Venus Control Suite Web Editor to change how date and time and number data fields appear in a presentation. Number fields can also be formatted with a currency symbol, thousands separator, or percentage symbol.
 
The available formatting options depend on the type of data contained in the selected field.

Steps

Access the Web Editor
  1. Log in to Venus Control Suite Venus Accounts: How do I log in to Venus Control Suite?
  2. Navigate to the Web Editor app.

  1. Select or create a presentation you want to format.
  2. Open the presentation in the Web Editor.
Format Date & Time Field
  1. Select the data field in the presentation.
  2. Expand Format in the Properties panel.
  3. From the Formatting menu, select Date & Time.
  4. Select one of the available preset formats, or select Custom Date & Time.
  5. When using Custom Date & Time, select the desired date and time components to build the format.
  6. If applicable, select the desired Culture.
  7. Review the formatted value in the presentation.
  8. Click Save.

    Format Number Field
    1. Select the data field in the presentation.
    2. Expand Format in the Properties panel.
    3. From the Formatting menu, select Number.
    4. Select the applicable formatting option:
      • Select $ to apply a currency symbol.
      • Select , to apply a thousands separator.
      • Select % to apply a percentage symbol.
    5. Under Decimal Places, select the minus or plus button to adjust the number of decimal places displayed.
      • When reducing the number of displayed decimal places, the value is rounded to the selected precision.
    6. If applicable, select the desired Culture.
    7. Review the formatted value in the presentation.
    8. Click Save.
