Steps
Access the Web Editor and Prepare Your Presentation
Before applying formatting features, ensure your presentation is set up in the Web Editor.
- Log in to Venus Control Suite Venus Accounts: How do I log in to Venus Control Suite?
- Navigate to the Web Editor app.
- Select or create a presentation you want to format.

- Open the presentation in the Web Editor.
Apply Locale Settings (Basic & up)
Use locale settings to format date, time, and language based on regional preferences.
- Select a dynamic element (e.g., Date/Time or Data).
- Open the Properties tab → Content section.
- Enter a Culture value.
- The locale setting will update:
- Day and month names
- Date/time format
- Currency symbols (if applicable)
Example: "Wednesday" becomes "miércoles" when using Spanish locale.
Note: Locale settings are especially useful for international customers or multilingual content.
Edit Data Fields (Basic & up)
Change or duplicate the data field used by a data element.
- Select a data element on the canvas.
- Open the Properties tab → Content section.
- Click Edit Field to:
- Change the data source or field.
- Duplicate the field for alternate formatting.
- Correct a misassigned field.
Examples by Package Tier:
- Basic & Select: Use Easy Drop Weather to display local weather conditions.

- On the canvas, select the Easy Drop Weather data element you want to change or duplicate.
- Open the Properties tab → Content section.
- Click Edit Field to update the data element as needed.

- Professional & up: Similarly useful when working with scoreboard data, calendar feeds, or custom data sets.
Format Numbers and Currency (Professional & up)
Customize how your data appears by selecting the appropriate formatting type and applying currency symbols based on locale.
- Select a data element.
- Open the Properties tab → Content section.
- Click Set Formatting.
- Choose a formatting category based on the type of data:
- Date & Time: Customize how dates and times appear by choosing options like day of the week, month name, year, hour, and minute.
- Number: Adjust decimal visibility and set the number of decimal places (truncates, does not round).
- Apply Currency Formatting: Automatically formats the data using the currency symbol and style defined by the element’s applied culture or locale.
- Click Set to apply.
⚠️ Note: Formatting fails if category does not match data type.
Use Auto Size to Text (Basic & up)
Automatically resize text boxes to fit content.
- Select a text element.
- In the Properties tab, in the Position section, enable Auto Fit.
- Choose to fit:
- To the entire element
- To the text width only
Note: Auto Fit helps maintain clean layouts when content changes dynamically.
Use Size Matching (Professional & up)
Quickly adjust the size of your elements to match their content or align with other elements in your presentation.
- Select a text, image, or data element in your presentation.
- Open the Properties tab → Position section.
- Select Auto Fit to automatically resizes the bounding box to fit the content inside the element.
- Use Size Matching to align the size of one element with another selected element for consistent layout.
⚠️ Note: These tools help maintain a clean and professional appearance, especially when working with multiple elements across a slide.
Format Text Appearance (Professional & up)
Adjust how your text looks by changing capitalization, shrinking to fit element, or allowing it to wrap for easier reading.
- Select a text or data element.
- Open the Properties tab → Position section.
- Choose from the following formatting options:
- Text Capitalization:
- Normal: Displays the text as it appears in the data source.
- UPPERCASE: Converts all text to uppercase.
- lowercase: Converts all text to lowercase.
- Text Capitalization:

- Word Wrapping: Allows text to wrap within the element when it exceeds the width.
- Shrink Text to Fit Element: Automatically scales the text to fit within the bounding box.
⚠️ Note: Word Wrapping and Shrink to Text cannot be used simultaneously.
