You might see the following highlighted number on the seven segment LED on the module.

  • 1  Comm loss (no CAN communication for at least 10 seconds)
  • Pixel error (Failed LED)
  • Power failure (one or both of the 24V power inputs below threshold ~21V)
  • 4  Not used  (on older modules, this was for overvoltage error)
  • Over temp dimming (Maximum dimming level has been reduced due to high temperature)
  • 6  3.3V regulator on display board is out of range (below 3V)
  • P   Programming Error
  • badId Driver not connect to a display/ driver does not recognize display: update firmware
  • Not addressing properly
  • LE Logic error
  • C This is not so much an error code as the mod looking for the connecting baud rate
  • AE Address error (newer mods)
  • ErrOr 8 Not enough room in the receive FIFO for a received CAN packet

Error codes for CCR modules:

  • 1 comm loss, but the timeout is configurable via the controller.  10 seconds is the default, but it can be changed.
  • 4 Invalid address error - No valid address read from the address/signal harness.
  • 5 MDF error - missing or corrupt MDF (Module Definition File) in firmware.
  • 6 ORDF error - missing or corrupt ORDF (Output Routine Definition File) in firmware.
  • 7 LPF error - missing or corrupt LPF (LED Profile) in firmware.
  • 8: White Point error - Missing or corrupt LED currents or white point settings.
  • If the mod is cycling between b & L, that means it's in the bootloader.
