Marian has been with Daktronics for more than a decade, starting as a project manager before moving into the service department and eventually taking on her current leadership role. Her experience gives her a deep understanding of how service works across Europe, from on-site technicians to customer relationships that span countries.

“In service, no two days are ever the same. You can plan your day as much as you want, but that can change instantly when something needs our attention,” Marian said.

That unpredictability is part of what makes her role so dynamic. She oversees a team of 20 members spread across Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Ireland and the UK, along with trusted regional partners. Together, they support customers in sports, out-of-home advertising and transportation, ensuring every display continues running smoothly.

“Daktronics is not the type of company that leaves customers hanging when things go wrong,” she explained. “A lot of effort and time goes into analyzing and managing every escalation.”

Customer relationships are at the heart of Daktronics Services, and Marian shared how communication plays a key role in maintaining that trust.

“Open communication is very important. Being reliable for our customers means keeping them informed and being transparent about every step we take.”

She also discussed what customer success looks like from her perspective.

“What is customer success? That’s a happy customer, even when something goes wrong. If we can fix it, support them and leave them with a good solution, that’s success.”

One memorable example she mentioned was Piccadilly Circus in London, where Daktronics maintains one of the most iconic LED displays in the world. Her team’s quick response times and reliable service help ensure the screen stays lit up and running, day or night.

When asked what advice she’d give to customers, Marian kept it simple.

“Choose Daktronics, of course. Our products are reliable, and if something does go wrong, we’ll be there to back you up.”

Even though she admitted she’s not much of a sports fan, her passion for the technology and the people behind it truly shines through.

“I find the people next to the play field more interesting than the ones on it,” she laughed. “The management, the organization and how these large venues make it all happen week after week, that’s what fascinates me.”

To close, Marian shared what she enjoys most about working here.

“I love working at Daktronics. The team spirit, the international environment and the people I work with every day, that’s what makes it special.”

It’s a great way to round out this series and highlight how Daktronics Services extends far beyond one region. From proactive maintenance to rapid on-site response, Marian and her team exemplify the global standard of care that defines what we do.
