Venus 1500 V4 has a username and password prompt when launching the software.

Potential Symptoms

  • There is an error in Event Viewer under Windows Logs ->Application:
    • BackupIoRequest::ReportIoError: write failure on backup device 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Nucleus Server\Backup\Nucleus Database.bak'. Operating system error 112(There is not enough space on the disk.).
    • SendErrorToErrLog: Operating system error 112(There is not enough space on the disk.) encountered.
  • Daktronics Nucleus Server Logs has an error:
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Daktronics\Nucleus Server\Backup\Nucleus Database.bak" failed: 112(There is not enough space on the disk.)

Cause

  • There is not enough disk space available in your Temporary Files folder. This is not a Daktronics or Venus 1500 related issue, rather it is a computer space issue.

Resolution

  • Perform a Disk Cleanup to empty the Temporary Files folder.
  1. Launch Windows Start Menu.
  2. Click Run -> Type cleanmgr -> Click Ok.
  3. From the listed options check off the following if available:
    1. Downloaded Program Files
    2. Temporary Internet Files
    3. Offline webpages
    4. Recycle Bin (Optional)
    5. Setup Log Files
    6. Temporary Files (Highly important to check off)
  4. Click Ok.
  5. Click Yes, Ok or Delete Files.
  6. Wait for cleanup process to complete, restart services and open Venus 1500 V4.
