Windows 10 OS boots to login screen. Not automatically logging in.

Potential Symptoms

  • Booting/rebooting the computer leads user to Windows login screen, requiring input of password.
  • Content shows as playing for DMP-8000s in Display Studio, but display is blank.

Cause

  • Setting is requiring users to login using a password.

Resolution

  1. Search for netplwiz in the Windows search box and press the Enter key.
  2. Uncheck the radio box next to "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" and click OK.
  3. Enter the username you'd like to automatically log on and the password for that account, then click OK.

For Temporary Operation

  • Login with the appropriate password.
