Mouse jumps to same spot on Touchsmart computer, change where Input Panel is shown

Potential Symptoms

  • Mouse sometimes jumps to bottom right section of the display and clicks.
  • Buttons are pressed if they are on area where mouse jumps too.
  • On top left area of the display, you can hover a window border and description 'Tablet PC Input Panel' would appear.

Resolution

  1. Go to Start  and type Tablet PC Input Panel, click the first auto-suggested link
  2. In new window, click on Tools, then Options.
  3. Ensure all three boxes under "Choose where to show the Input Panel icons and tab:"
  4. Once set, click on OK.
