Diagnostic Alert: Output State Changed notification, output state mismatch

Potential Symptoms

  • Module and PLR diagnostics information may not be accurate.

IDM / System Health Event(s)

  • Venus Control Suite (VCS) diagnostics is showing a notification or alert for Output State Changed on the controller ID tile.
  • The Active state text within VCS diagnostics is showing red.

Environment

  • Product Family: Billboard, Video, Control Systems
  • Product: DVX, DVN, GC6
  • Component: VIP-5060, VIP-5160, DI-6000, VP-6000
  • Control System: Venus Control Suite

Cause

  • The output state of the controller is not matching the expected state within VCS.

Resolution

  • Review the configuration on site and within Venus, and adjust either the controller(s) or VCS to match the desired state.
    • Normally this notification is triggered by someone manually changing the output state of the controller locally (either through the controller UX or a local instance of VCS) and not through Dak-Hosted VCS.
    • In this instance it is generally safer to adjust VCS to match what is currently configured on site.
