Set a 6700 message timeout to never stop playing

  • How do I set an AF-6700 timeout to never stop playing the current message?

Steps

  1. Disconnect from any other networks you may be connected to, and close DVS if it is running.
  2. Enter a Location Name. If using Windows 7 and you can't see the display height and width do these 4 steps otherwise skip to step 3
    1. change the location name (anything works, add a space)
    2. Go to File
    3. Click New
    4. Enter a display name
  3. Select Add Displays.
  4. In the new window, Select Add Display
  5. Make sure pixel height and width are set correctly

  6. Select Done.
  7. Select Add (with red arrow)
  8. Right click on the newly created display and select Edit.
  9. Enter controller address (default 0A)
  10. Enter the IP of the display being updated
    1. If you want to save the setup for reuse at this point:
    2. Choose File
    3. Save
    4. Name the connection/display
  11. Click connect
  12. When connected click the wrench icon

  13. In the Override section enter 0A!up00 in the box and press the send Cmd button.

  14. Press Done
  15. The timeout will be set at this point.
  16. If doing multiple displays you can reuse the same setup and change just the IP.
  17. If you cannot connect to a display after the program has been running or connected to another display restart the program. If you saved the config in step 11 you can reuse it by
    1. Choose File
    2. Open
    3. Choose the name of the display
    4. Go back to step 9 to continue
