Scoreboard or section going blank; Fan not working

Potential Symptoms

  • Entire scoreboard or a driver section is going blank, may show Power On Self Test (POST) and then start lighting with game data but will go blank.
  • Issues more prevalent when weather is warmer, but may function fine in the evening after it cools down.
  • Fan is not spinning in the scoreboard driver enclosure but receiving 24V DC.

Cause

  • The fan has failed, causing the driver to overheat.

  • Replace fan.
