Unable to Connect to Previously Installed Galaxy Display with a New CDMA Modem Communication Setup

Potential Symptoms

  • No communication to the display.
  • Display was previously using a different communication method and has a unique IP set on it (no longer at the default settings).

Cause

  • The CDMA system requires the default settings on the controller.  Since the sign was previously using another communication option it had its IP changed to work on a network.  Hence, not allowing the CDMA system to work as intended.

Resolution

  • Connect with M2Config and set the default IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway back to default settings.
    • Ensure that the IP address information for the controller is as follows:
      • IP Address: 172.16.192.25
      • Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
      • Default Gateway: 172.16.192.14
