CRC Error on Vanguard Controller

Potential Symptoms

  • Customer wants to know how to clear a CRC error.

Cause

  • Controller reports CRC error on the screen.
  • It is a "semi-unique" identifier used in many places such as messages, schedules, fonts, graphics, etc.
  • To know if the contents of that is the same as expected or last retrieved from the display or controller.

Resolution

  • To clear this error:
    1. Blank the sign.
    2. Send a new message to it.
    3. Reset the controller.
