Daktronics Opens Mexico Manufacturing Facility
Local dignitaries and employees gather in Saltillo for the inauguration of Daktronics’ latest manufacturing facility
SALTILLO, Mexico – Oct. 22, 2026 – Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT), a recognized industry leader in digital display and control system technology, today hosted an inauguration ceremony to mark the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Saltillo, Mexico.
The new facility, which is approximately 10,250 square meters in size, increases the overall agility of Daktronics’ production capacity, with plans to employ approximately 50 people. The location in northeastern Mexico helps the company serve customers more efficiently while providing flexible shipping options throughout the Western Hemisphere and other global markets.
Production at the facility focuses on metal fabrication through crating for outdoor and indoor configurable video displays, such as marquee signs or sports venue installations, and high-resolution video walls, used in indoor close-viewing applications.
“This ceremony commemorates an important step in how we serve our customers. Expanding our manufacturing into Mexico is an integral part of our strategy for profitable growth,” said Daktronics President and CEO Ramesh Jayaraman. “The Saltillo facility will serve as an important cog in our manufacturing network and will provide expanded capability to cater to evolving customer needs and timelines. A very warm welcome to our employees in this facility into the Daktronics family.”
Daktronics Vice President of Global Manufacturing Matt Kurtenbach added, “This is a pivotal step as we provide a globally resilient network, increase manufacturing flexibility, strengthen our ability to compete across markets, and keep us on course to grow and lead the LED marketplace into the future.”
The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the production areas, messages from Daktronics officials and the local governor, and a priest’s blessing.
