Daktronics Brings Messaging Opportunities to Pedestrian Bridges at Yas Bay Waterfront, Abu Dhabi

Two displays installed for Yas Bay Waterfront near Etihad Arena to communicate with event goers

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Sept. 15, 2025 – When people head to Yas Bay Waterfront, Abu Dhabi’s premier lifestyle and entertainment destination in the United Arab Emirates, they will be greeted with two new LED displays from Daktronics, installed along a walkway bridge on the waterfront plaza.

LED Display Details

Each display features a 6.6-millimeter pixel spacing to deliver crisp, clear images to graphics and messages shown. Each measures 3.84 meters high by 15.04 meters wide along the walkway bridge to provide a large digital canvas.

“Thanks to the great support, we were able to provide a design-build solution to optimize viewing locations, angles and distances for these LED displays,” said Andrew Gorder, Daktronics project manager. “It was a pleasure to work on this project for Yas Bay Waterfront, and these LED displays will be a great addition to the existing Daktronics outdoor display at Etihad Arena in providing information on upcoming events.”

These displays are capable of motion graphics and able to change messaging at a moment’s notice to meet the needs of the location and current promotions. The control system allows messages to be scheduled in advance and adjusted on the go.

Daktronics provides digital technology solutions that offer flexible scheduling for multiple advertisers as well as quick and easy changes in content. Additional services provided to the OOH industry add value and generate revenue for customers.
