
Daktronics Announces First-Annual DakClassroom Student Showcase Award Winners
Celebrating excellence in student-led media efforts for live events
BROOKINGS, S.D. – June 26, 2025 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, announces the winners of the 2025 DakClassroom Student Showcase, recognizing outstanding student achievement in live event production. These annual awards highlight the creativity, leadership and technical excellence of high school student media programs across the country, all using the DakClassroom curriculum.
2025 DakClassroom Student Showcase Winners:
- Students of the Year: Estelline School District (SD): A two-person class and production team, these 10th-grade students have shown exceptional creativity, leadership and rapid technical growth in their first year creating and managing content for the school’s video board.
- Best Overall Production: Warrior Media Crew – Waunakee High School (WI): Honored for their dynamic broadcast of a WIAA football state quarterfinal game, this team set a new standard for high-quality, student-led production across both livestream and in-venue displays.
- Best Student-Led Production: Warrior Media Crew – Waunakee High School (WI): Recognized for the scale, structure and professionalism of their entirely student-driven production team, these students manage up to seven events in a single night.
- Classroom of the Year: Ralston Valley High School (CO): Celebrated for creative game engagement elements, sponsor activation strategies, this seven-student team focuses on individual strengths to form a collaborative culture.
- Best Sponsored Feature: Mountain Grove High School (MO): Awarded for their heartfelt and polished commercial promoting local sponsor Blue Star Bakery, this crew provides an impressive example of community-focused storytelling.
- Best Student-Athlete Feature: Bishop Carroll Catholic High School (KS): Recognized for a visually compelling, animated feature highlighting a student soccer player, this production team blends strong branding with student voice and creativity.
