Display is not dimming correctly when light sensors are working

Potential Symptoms

  • Display is stuck on 100% brightness and will not change.
  • Setting this to automatic will not change the brightness.
  • The light sensors all work properly and report light values.

Cause

  • The DMP output is not set.

Resolution

  1. Set the output resolution on the DMP.
  2. Login to the controllers webpage for the DMP by entering in the ip address in the webpage; Example: http://10.10.10.10
  3. Enter in the password and username when prompted.
  4. Select the wrench icon on the left side of the page.
  5. Select Output 1.
  6. Select Intel Open Source Technology Center Mesa DRI Intel(R) Bay trail, in the Device drop down under Output Configuration.
  7. Select Resolution, set it to 1280 x 720.
  8. Click Save in the upper left of the page.
