How to sync time server on the DMP and VIP of the VFC controller

Environment

  •  Product: GS6, VS6, VF, VX, VM Displays
  • Components: DMP board & VIP board inside the VFC

Steps

DMP- Using the Webpage UI.

  1. login to the DMP and select the Time tile from the Dashboard.
  2. Make sure the time zone is correct for were the sign is located.
  3. If the sign is on a private network and the customer has not specified a NTP server, then enter 192.168.240.1 (the internal IP of the VIP for NTP server). 
  4. Proceed to next step If an NPT server or a public network has been provided.
  5. Select Sync Date and Time.   
  6. Double check and make sure the Current Time is correct.
  7. Click on the Save tab in the upper left section.

VIP- Using the Webpage UI.

  1. login to the VIP and select the Time tile from the Dashboard.
  2. Make sure the time zone is correct for were the sign is located.
  3. If the sign is on a private network and the customer has not specified a NTP server, then enter 192.168.240.2 (the internal IP of the DMP for NTP server). 
  4. Proceed to next step If an NPT server or a public network has been provided.
  5. Select Sync Date and Time.   
  6. Double check and make sure the Current Time is correct.
  7. Click on the Save tab in the upper left section.
