Steps

  1. Download latest version of VCB firmware (DD1641601) from https://dakfiles.daktronics.com
    1. Select Transportation
    2. Select Firmware
    3. Select VFC-3000
    4. Select VCB I
    5. Select DD1641601.hex and Save As to your desktop.
  2. Transfer VCB firmware (DD1641601.hex) to VFC-3000
    1. Download DFTP
    2. Follow instructions here for transferring a file (VCB firmware) to the VFC-3000
  3. Update VCB firmware from VFC-3000 menus
    1. If on-site
      1. Login to VFC-3000
      2. Select CONFIGURATION
      3. Select SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
      4. Select REPROGRAM DEVICES
      5. Select REPROGRAM DISTRIBUTION BOARD M1
      6. Select DD1641601.hex
      7. Select DETECT (RECOMMENDED)
      8. Monitor progress.  When complete select REPROGRAM DISTRIBUTION BOARD M2
      9. Select DD1641601.hex
      10. Select DETECT (RECOMMENDED)
      11. Monitor progress.  Verify completed without errors/failures.
    2. If remote use How to Download LCD Simulator  to perform steps 3.1.1 through 3.1.11.
