Steps

Caution: To avoid damage, do not overtighten the screws attaching the tile. As a general rule, stop tightening as soon as you feel resistance.

NOTE: To reduce the risk of damaging LEDs while removing tiles from a display that has been running for an extended period of time, place painter's tape on the tile with the bad LED (to aid in locating bad tile), then power down the display for 10 minutes to allow display face temperature to lower before removing the tile as per the instructions below. 

To Remove a Tile

  1. Remove the module and hub cards as per How do I remove a module from a DVN-4003 display?, DD3802882 and How do I replace a hub card on a DVN-4003?, DD3804097
  2. Loosen and remove the ten screws securing the tile to the module.
  3. Remove the tile from the module.

To Replace a Tile

  1. Ensure the arrow on the tile and the arrow on the module are pointing in the same direction.
  2. Place the tile into position on the module.
  3. Insert two screws and tighten them slightly to hold the tile in place.
  4. Turn the module over, then gently push the module into place to eliminate seams.
  5. After all seams are eliminated, insert and tighten the eight remaining screws.
  6. Attach hub card and place module into display as per  How do I replace a hub card on a DVN-4003?, DD3804097 and How do I remove a module from a DVN-4003 display?, DD3802882.
