Content Studio: How to edit custom headshot templates in my standard video system

Steps

  1. Open Content Studio.
  2. Create a new presentation.
    1. Click the blue box in the upper left corner and select new.
    2. Click display and select the size zone you want for  the presentation.
  3. Import the static or animated background that you will use in the headshot.
    1. Click Media Item > Picture if it is a static file, or Media Item > Video if it is an animated file. 
    2. Browse to the file you wish to use. The background will be provided by Daktronics or you can use your own background.
    3. Once you have the correct file selected, click Import.  The video will import as a layer in Content Studio.

  4. Add your player headshot picture.
    1. Click Media Item > Picture.
    2. Browse to the picture you wish to use for the player headshot.
    3. Click Open. The picture will open an Image Import Window.
    4. Crop the picture as needed and click Import.

  5. Resize and position the headshot image as desired on the template.

  6. Add desired text for name, number, position, year, etc.
    1. Click the Text Box button.
    2. Click in the area where you want your text to be. Type in desired text.
    3. Repeat steps 1&2 for all desired fields in your headshot.

  7. Save your presentation.
  8. Repeat steps 2-7 for all players you need a headshots for.
  9. In Display Studio, script a button to play out the different headshot templates out to the display.
