How to Configure a GS6 to NTCIP

- How do I configure a GS6 (DMP-5050/5060) to NTCIP.
Environment
- Product: GS6 Display
- Component: DMP-5050, DMP-5060 controller
- Control System: Vanguard Software
Steps
- Log into player (DMP-5000).
- Click on the wrench icon on the left, then go to Services.
- Click on Media Management Server and select NTCIP from the drop-down options.
- Ensure Display Menus on Output and Generate Translation Table are set to "Off".
- Click on the Save button. The controller will reboot automatically. This will take about 3 minutes.
- Log back into the Player. It should now look like the pic below. Note the Car icon added on the left.
- Update
- Output Configuration Resolution to 1280x720p @ 60Hz
- Display Configuration Width: 1280 and Height: 720.
- Click on the Save button.

- It may take five + minutes for all of the items to update (Identification, Display, Services, etc.). Be patient.
- Update
- Configure Controller for Display parameters.
- Click on the Car icon.
- Enter the LCD password and select 'Enter' to login.
- If prompted for an additional username and password, contact Daktronics Technical Support.
- Sign 1.
- Configuration.
- System.
- Required.
- Model: GS6
- Access: Front
- Module: These settings are specific to the sign
- Module Type: specific to the sign. EX: Full Color
- Full Color Module Type: ProLink5
- ProLink5: specific to the sign. EX: 16x20
- Display Pixel Pitch: specific to the sign. EX: 20
- Pixel Height: Height of the sign
- Pixel Width: Width of the sign
- Type: Full
- Note: GS6 would set the TT to not automatic and then load it manually to the vip
- Click on Cancel twice to get back to Configuration menu.
- Select Peripheral.
- Add.
- Advanced Setup.
- Press down button once and then select Add Light.
- Select Front.
- Select Specify.
- Sensor Address: 2, the Enter.
- Location:
- If DMP-5050: On Video Processor;
- If DMP-5060: On Display Interface (PLR)
- Mode: LUX.
- Click on Cancel twice and then View (Peripheral Configuration).
- Verify Front Light 1 reports a value.
- Now log in to VIP and change Brightness to Manual.
- Save changes.
- Login to Vanguard software, configure display, create content, and verify you can get display status and play messages successfully.
