Steps

  • Striping is defined as separating a physically continuous display into two (or more) parts and stacking those parts on top of each other for the purpose of content creation and content intake to the DMP-8000.
  • In most DMP-8000 Systems, the maximum length of one stripe is 16,384 pixels. Note: previous to version 8.62.
  • If a display or zone is over 16,384 pixels wide, content must be created using the striped dimensions.
  • Of note, zones and RTD data are unable to play across stripes.Note: previous to version 8.62. Picture1.png

Content Creation Specifics

  • Content of this size can't be played as an uncompressed .AVI because the player can't handle it.
    • After Effects can't create compositions larger than 30,000px wide (or tall).
    • Content should be rendered out from AE in the .MOV/.AVI format and then converted to the 8000 preferred format of MP4 with .h264 compression using the Daktronics FFMPEG Video Converter.
