Steps
- OmniSport 2000
- Visually inspect the OmniSport for damage/corrosion. (indicators, switches, knobs, and connections)
- Ensure keypad buttons are all functional.
- Verify thermal paper is installed in printer location and feeds/prints correctly.
- Power up OmniSport console to verify firmware is up to date (update if needed). *Must be newer than 8.3.27 to update in the field.
- Perform a mock swim race after completing checklist to verify all inputs and outputs are working (including scoreboard/RTD data).

- Visually inspect the OmniSport for damage/corrosion. (indicators, switches, knobs, and connections)
- On-deck Equipment (lane modules)
- Visually inspect lane modules for damage/corrosion. (connections, connector, and cable)
- If equipment shows signs of corrosion, train the customer (if available) proper cleaning of lane modules using the brass brush (TH-1024/TH-1025) and silicone grease (LU-1002).

- In-deck Equipment (deck plates)
- Visually inspect all deck plates for damage/corrosion. (connections, connector, and cable)
- If equipment shows signs of corrosion, train the customer (if available) proper cleaning of lane modules using the brass brush (TH-1024/TH-1025) and silicone grease (LU-1002).
- TESTING:
- Verify deck plate connections are received into the OmniSport 2000.
- Connect the OmniSport 2000 and all cabling to the proper wall plate in order to receive touchpad and button data.
- Turn on the OmniSport 2000 and enter swimming mode.
- The OmniSport should show (-) marks across the LCD for the proper number of lanes.
- Press MENU > 5 > 2 to go into test mode.
- Test each deck plate by placing a push button into each touchpad/button connection and pressing the button. TP, B1, B2, B3 will display on the OmniSport 2000 LCD if working correctly.

- Horn Start
- Visually inspect horn start and microphone. (indicators, switches, knobs, cabling, and connections)
- TESTING:
- Test for charger functionality by connecting to the HS-200. Charging LED should light when plugged in.
- Ensure microphone is connected to the horn start assembly. Wireless models, ensure belt pack has new battery, and matches the wireless channel set on the HS-200 base assembly, and has the antenna mounted on the base unit.
- Set volume controls to desired levels (not min or max) and power up the HS-200 unit.
- When the ON-READY LED is on, press the PUSH TO TALK lever while speaking to ensure audible, then while holding this press small button on top of the mic at the same time. This will trigger a tone and a strobe from the HS-200 assembly, while starting the clock on the OmniSport.
- A dual banana (start cable) will need to be ran between the HS-200 and OmniSport start circuit to initiate the start. *OmniSport 2000 Start Input settings must match connection at the HS-200 (N.O. vs. N.C.).
- Lane and/or Aux speakers must be connected to test each remote speaker/location.

- Touchpads
- Visually inspect touchpads for dents, scrapes, smudge marks, delamination, and mounting hardware.
- Ensure edge protectors are surrounding the perimeter of the face and are secure.
- Visually inspect touchpad cart for any damage.
- TESTING:
- Dry test
- While touchpads are on the cart, or laying out on the deck, a continuity/resistance check can be completed.
- Connect voltmeter to positive and negative terminal of touchpad cable and set the meter to resistance/continuity mode.
- While sitting idle, the touchpad should register an open connection, and when pressing on the pad, it should create a shorted connection.
- If the pad passes the dry test, it can be put in the water to complete the wet test by measuring for DC voltage.
- Wet test 1
- Place all touchpads into the water and connect to their lane connections.
- Turn on the OmniSport 2000 and go into swimming mode.
- Press MENU > 5 > 2 and go into the test mode.
- Use your hand or a swimmer to tap the surface of the touchpad and ensure it registers on the OmniSport. A TP will appear on the LCD of the OmniSport for the lane being tested.
- Wet test 2
- Place all touchpads into the water and connect to their lane connections.
- Using a voltmeter set to DC voltage, make contact with the touchpad cable pins (ensure polarity is followed).
- While sitting idle, the pad should read ~.25 VDC.
- When a touch is registered the pad should drop to 0 VDC.
- Once the touch is released the pad should return to ~.25 VDC. *This should take about 5-8 seconds.
- If this takes a long time to recharge, clean the terminals of the touchpad cable and test again.
- Tip: Plug touchpad cable directly into the voltmeter or use an additional dual banana to test while plugged into the deck connection.

- Relay Take-off Platform
- Visually inspect the sides, back and front for cracks and/or breaks.
- Visually inspect the gray electronics box for cracks.
- Visually inspect the cable strain reliefs, ensuring they are secure and not broken, loose, or missing.
- Visually inspect the RTOP cart for any damage.
- TESTING:
- Ensure a new battery (if possible) is installed in the electronics box.
- Verify the red LED on the electronics box is flashing. *The RTOP must be plugged into the lane harness and the OmniSport connected and setup in Swimming mode.
- Place your hand flat on the RTOP and hold for two seconds.
- Remove your hand quickly, and the red LED will turn solid for ~1 second then return back to a flashing/ready state.
- The RTOP time should also be able to be captured on the OmniSport printout as long as settings/event are configured correctly.

- Pro Swimming
- Verify software is up to date. *Verify version entitlement; Contact Daktronics Help Desk if questions arise.
- Verify software opens correctly without errors.
- If customer has an Ethernet OmniSport it can communicate via network, or connect (USB/Serial adapter) to Pro Swim laptop and install driver (if needed).
- Connect standard Ethernet cable from Pro Swim laptop directly to Ethernet Omni or a network router/switch.
- If serial, connect cable from J4 EXPANSION PORT on the OmniSport 2000 to the serial cable/adapter on the Pro Swim computer.
- Verify communication between devices. *May need to change com port value in Pro Swim, or set to UDP.
- TIP: When using serial connections with an Ethernet OmniSport, the network port must be disabled to allow serial communications. MENU > 4 > 7 > 7 NETWORK PRO: OFF will allow you to shut off the Network Pro option.

- Pro Diving

- Hy-Tek Meet Manager
- Verify communication between Hy-Tek and the OmniSport 2000 (via serial or network). *Ethernet OmniSport 2000s have the ability to do both options.
- For serial communication to function, the Network MMR feature needs to be OFF in the OmniSport 2000 menu.
- MENU > 4 > 7 > 7 NETWORK MMR: OFF
- Ensure that the proper drivers are installed if using a USB-Serial Adapter, and document the com port being assigned in Device Manager.
- Serial communication uses a straight serial connection to the J6 RESULTS PORT on the OmniSport 2000.
- For Ethernet communication to function the Network MMR feature needs to be ON in the OmniSport 2000 menu. Connection can be directly between the two, or go through a switch/router.
- Using a standard Ethernet cable, connect from the Hy-Tek computer to the ETHERNET jack on the back of the OmniSport.
- MENU > 4 > 7 > 7 NETWORK MMR: ON
- Ensure that the IP address is within range of the OmniSport IP, and the Subnet and Gateway match.
- Open Hy-Tek Software to configure settings. Start by entering the Run screen from the top header.
- Interfaces > Setup > Timing Console Interface > Daktronics OmniSport 2000 (Serial or UDP)
- Interfaces > Setup > Scoreboard > Daktronics (Serial or UDP) ***Alpha Scoreboard Interface needed for matrix RTD.

- Diving Judge Consoles
- Verify judge console firmware is up to date (3.0 or higher). JC-100 and RC-100 options.
- Verify base station firmware is up to date if using wireless judge consoles (3.0 or higher).
- Verify the base station function. Function setting should be set to 6 on version 3.0 and higher. (Function 1 for earlier versions)
- Verify the correct 900 MHz antenna is being used on the base station.
- Verify the judge consoles are communicating to the OmniSport 2000.
