DM-100 is not updating gas price displays, Detect displays to clear

Potential Symptoms

  • DM-100 is showing 'DNR CMD 05" error whenever prices are sent to the display.
  • Prices may or may not be able to be updated.
  • Prices update but with errors "COM ERR" and "DM-100 RADIO PORT ERROR".
  • Not able to change prices on every display in the chain.
    • May be able to change prices further down signal chain indicating good communication.
  • Recently replaced a driver or radio and can only change some of the prices, but all displays respond to a test pattern.

Environment

  • Product: FL-2000, FL-3000, FL-4000, FL-4500
  • Component: DM-100
  • Control System: FLR-2000, FLR3-1500

Cause

  • Handheld is not detecting all of the drivers in the display.

Resolution

  1. Press the "MENU" button.
  2. Scroll down to "DIAGNOSTICS" and press Enter.
  3. Scroll down to "DETECT DISPLAYS" and press Enter.
  4. The DM-100 should search for displays and find the display.
