Potential Symptoms
- Unable to play messages from Display Studio.
- Receive the following error: attempt to contact the scripting service failed.
- DMP-8000 players (VNets) do not show up in green status orb in bottom left, but may be able to play content to V7000 players.

Cause
- Daktronics Nucleus Service not running or didn't start up correctly.
Resolution
- Close Show Control software, manually start/restart the Nucleus Service
- See How do I start, restart, or stop the V4 or SCS supporting computer services?
- Note: Display Studio only uses the Daktronics Nucleus Server and SQL Server (Nucleus) services.
- Alternatively, restarting the computer should normally fix this as well. Especially if the computer is given a couple of minutes to finish booting before you launch Display Studio.
