OmniSport Pro software: How do I set an event to be a swimming or diving from an OmniSport 2000 console?

  • How do I set a particular event to be a swimming or diving event from an OmniSport 2000 console?

Environment

  • OmniSport 2000 Timing Console
    • When using the console to enter in Event Order information, only basic information can be set:
      • Event Number
      • Round
      • Distance
      • Record Time
  • Not likely using Hy-Tek computer.

Steps

  1. From either swimming or diving mode, press MENU.
  2. Press the following keys on the numpad:  [2]>[2]>[1].
    1. Otherwise arrow down once to the EDIT MENU, press ENTER.
    2. Arrow down once to EVENT ORDER, press ENTER.
    3. Press ENTER on EDIT ORDER.
  3. Enter in the event # and press ENTER.
  4. Use the right and left arrow buttons to sent the event's alpha designator (e.g. SEMI-FINALS, FINALS, etc...) and press ENTER.
  5. Enter in a distance
    1. For Swimming: Enter in a non-zero distance (e.g. 50 for a 50m or 50yd race).
      1. If desired enter in a record time (REC) and press ENTER otherwise bypass this time by simply pressing ENTER.
    2. For Diving enter in a distance of 0 (zero) and press ENTER.
      1. Instead of asking for a record time, it will show the dive order (A, B, C, or D) set for that event (default is A).
