Troubleshooting Venus 1500 v4: Receiving Error:" There was no endpoint listening..."
Potential Symptoms
- Receiving an error when opening the Venus 1500 v4 software "An error occurred while logging in. There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe://localhost/Daktronics/Nucleus/V1500EventsService that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See the InnerException, if present, for more detail."
- Receiving Content Studio error when attempting to open or edit a message: "Content Studio is not licensed, please refer to your product documentation."
- The Daktronics Nucleus Server will not start and error log shows error: "'CN=Daktronics Nucleus' may not have a private key that is capable of key exchange or the process may not have access rights for the private key."

Resolution
- Did the services all start in order for Venus 1500?
- If No or unsure, Restart the Venus 1500 v4 software services following: Nucleus or Fusion service could not be started, Services are not running, DD2530303.
- If Yes or issue not resolved continue to Step 2.
- Is Venus 1500 v4 registered fully and properly?
- If No, Make sure Venus 1500 v4 software is fully registered and non of the components have expired following: Receiving an endpoint listening error when trying to open Venus 1500 V4., DD2334982.
- If Yes or issue not resolved continue to Step 3.
- Are there any certificate issues for the software?
- If Yes, generate new certificates following: The Daktronics Nucleus Server will not start and the Error.log shows the following error 'The certificate 'CN=Daktronics Nucleus' must have a private key that is capable of key exchange.', DD1723807.
- If No or issue not resolved continue to Step 4.
- Has a repair been completed on Venus 1500 v4?
- If No, Run a repair on the Venus 1500 v4 software following: Error "No endpoint listening at net.pipe" when opening Venus Software., DD3469954.
- If Yes or issue not resolved continue to Step 5.
