Show Control System: Display Studio Status Error yellow, no DMP-8000 Services, proxy

Potential Symptoms

  • Display Studio Status is Yellow.
  • No DMP-8000 Services Alert.
  • Show Control computer has internet.
  • DMP-8000 does not have internet.
  • Changing the IP address on the DMP-8000 causes the status to go red.
  • Full access to the DMP-8000 content folder and other network shared folders.

Environment

  • Product: VNet Version 5.2.1.5, Display Studio version 1.20.0.5
  • Components: IP address of the DMP-8000 is default 192.168.0.220, No firewalls on and no antivirus service running, EU Network is connected to the WAN port of the router
  • Control System: Standard Video / Standard DVX

Cause

There is a Proxy setup for internet access on the Show Control computer.

The Proxy is filtering the port 27000 request from the Show Control Computer.

Resolution

  1. Remove the Proxy for the internet browser in the browser's settings.
  2. Verify Communication has been restored to the DMP-8000.
