The Content Studio pencil icon is missing in Display Studio, problem during installation

Potential Symptoms

  • The Content Studio Pencil icon is missing in Display Studio.
  • Content Studio plugin is enabled.

Cause

  • There is an issue with the content variable during the installation of Content Studio when installing Show Control Display Studio.

Resolution

  1. Run repair on Display Studio.
  2. Launch Content Studio again and verify pencil icon is now present.
  3. If pencil icon is still not present, repeat repair of Display Studio after performing the following steps:
    1. Go to C:/Program Files (86x)/Daktronics
    2. Change Content Studio folder to OLD_Content Studio
    3. Change Content Studio v2 folder to OLD_Content Studio v2
    4. Go to C:/ProgramData/Daktronics
    5. Change Content Studio Folder to OLD_Content Studio
    6. Change Content Studio v2 folder to OLD_Content Studio v2
  4. If pencil is still not present, repair Content Studio.
