Galaxy & GalaxyPro primary/primary setups, Only one side changing messages
Potential Symptoms
- Able to change messages/content on one side of the display.
- Unable to communicate to the second side of the display. Old content is playing on the 2nd side of the display.
- May seem as though there are phantom messages/presentations playing on display since they do not match what is visually seen in Venus 1500 software.
- Venus software shows messages changed but one side of the display is still not changing.
Environment
- Galaxy & GalaxyPro
- Primary-Primary
- Venus 1500 v3 or v4
- New computer, New installation of Venus, or an update from v3 to v4 of Venus 1500 software has occurred.
Cause
- Site is incorrectly setup as a primary/mirror display (i.e. only one controller both sides) vs. a primary/primary setup (separate controllers for each side).
- Only one display controller is configured in the software.
Resolution
- Auto detect or setup second display manually (usually address 2 for serial communication)(additional IP address for ethernet communication) in the Venus 1500 software.
