Environment

Cause

The cause is that at one point the computer had two different types of Content Studio installed. One from a Show Control Install and another from a Venus 1500 v4 Install.

Resolution

Step 1: Make sure both SCS and Venus 1500 are at the latest software versions.
  1. Go Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features from Control Panel.
  2. Browse down to the Daktronics Display Studio install and Venus 1500 V4 install.
  3. Click and highlight the install.
    • Windows XP - you need to click the Click Here for support information to see the version of software installed.
    • Windows Vista/7 - Highlight the install and at bottom of window it will show what product version it is.
      1. If the installs are not the latest versions use the following:
      2.  Venus 1500: How do I update or download the Venus 1500 V4 software? to update Venus 1500 V4.
      3. Contact Software Support at 1-800-325-8766 to update Show Control Display Studio.

      Step 2: How to fix the issue once both latest versions of software are updated or at the latest version.
      1. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Daktronics
      2. Right-click on the Content Studio folder ONLY, select Delete.
      3. Go to Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features from Control Panel.
      4. Select Venus 1500 v4 and Daktronics Display Studio install select Change/Remove and Repair, or Click Repair.
