Venus 1500 v3, Presentations do not fit on the display, They are to small or too large, Display matrix incorrect

Potential Symptoms

  • The text in a presentation is smaller or larger out on the display than it is in Content Studio or Venus 1500 v4 previews.
    • Messages/Presentations are bigger or smaller on the display.
    • Presentations do not fit the display, they are to small or too large.
    • Messages only showing in a small section of the display.
  • Message is shifted to the left or right. 
    • Content is not centered well.
    • Content is cut off.
    • Missing or not showing all rows of text.
    • Content takes up a fraction of the display when published but looks normal in software.
  • Message is not showing on sign even though it does show in running presentations.  Sign is blank with no heartbeat.

  • Galaxy

 

Cause

  • Sign matrix (Height or Width) in Venus 1500 V3 is incorrect.

Resolution

  1. Create a new display type with the correct height and width.  Follow How to create and configure a Galaxy display in Venus 1500 v3, DD1974773.
  2. Recreate and resend content.
