Scoreboard is showing incorrect information, Numbers are reversed, Digit harness outputs are swapped

Potential Symptoms

  • Sets clock for 60:00 starts the clock and scoreboard clock counts down 59:95, 59:85, 59:75, 59:65…etc. (Should display 59:59, 59:58, 59:57, 59:56...etc.)
  • Information is displaying in the wrong location on the scoreboard.
  • Score is backwards on the scoreboard.
  • Team Fouls is backwards on the scoreboard.
  • Digit blank or does not respond to controller input.

Cause

  • Driver's 9-pin column digit outputs are swapped / crossed / flipped / reversed with each other. 
    • Drivers harness is in the wrong location.
    • May be present after a driver replacement.
    • Driver harness is connected to wrong driver(multiple driver scoreboard).

Resolution

  • Reference the appropriate scoreboards digit designation location drawing and correct digit layout.
    • If you don't have access to drawings, follow digit harnesses and swap the ones that are in the incorrect location on the driver. (Harness should be labeled for the correct driver output on the driver connection)
