TriColor display M2 won't show content on display AF-3200 or AE-3010

Potential Symptoms

  • Messages not showing on the display, however they are listed under "Running Presentations" in Venus 1500.
  • Venus Version 4 software shows scrolling text message, or flashing text message or even regular text in preview but blank on display.
  • Yellow, Red, or Green do not display on the display.

Environment

  • Galaxy
  • AE-3010 (TriColor) with M2 controller
  • AF-3200 (TriColor)
  • M2 controller based product
  • Venus 1500 Version 4 Software
  • Module type configured as AF-6200 8rg.

Cause

  • Color Depth is not on correct setting for Base Type color depth.

Resolution

  1. Open M2Config, and connect to the display.
  2. Go to the "Base type" section.
  3. Use Tricolor 256 for "Color Depth".
  4. Set the Venus 1500 v4 display settings for Tricolor 256.
  5. Create new content (scrolling flashing or standard).
