Venus Control Suite Data Studio Baseball: How to Configure and Operate Baseball Data Feeds?

Configure and operate Data Studio Baseball to manage baseball game data feeds, configure media outputs, and schedule or replay game content using Venus Control Suite.

Steps

Access Data Studio Baseball

  1. Log in to Venus Control Suite Venus Accounts: How do I log in to Venus Control Suite?
  2. Click Data Studio Baseball from the My Apps menu.

Create and Manage Providers

Providers are a collection of data distributed by unique organizations composed of games, stats, and replays. A Provider is required to use the software and will be prompted on first launch.  

To Create a Provider:

  1. Navigate to the Providers tab from the left-hand menu.

  1. Click Add New and select from drop-down.

  1. Enter a Title for the provider.
  2. Select a League from the drop-down menu.
  3. Choose a Team from the drop-down.
  4. Click Save.

To Edit a Provider:

  1. Select a Provider from the Providers tab.
  2. Make changes to Title, League or Team.
  3. Click Save.

To Delete a Provider:

  1. Select the Provider from the Providers tab.
  2. Click the trash icon .
  3. Confirm deletion.

⚠️ Note: This process cannot be undone.

Create and Manage Outputs

Outputs are digital channels where media from Providers is scheduled and played.

To Create an Output:

  1. Go to the Outputs tab from the left-hand menu.

  1. Click Add New.

  1. Enter a Title for the output.
  2. Select a Provider from the drop-down menu.
    • The drop-down menu is populated by providers created in the Providers tab.
  3. Click Save.

To Edit or Delete an Output:

  1. Edit: Select the Output, make updates to Title or Provider, click Save.
  2. Delete: Click the trash icon and confirm.

⚠️ Note: This process cannot be undone.

Schedule a Game or Replay
  1. Navigate to the Dashboard tab from the left-hand menu.
    The Dashboard is where media by the provider is scheduled to outputs. It lists Recent and Upcoming Games and allows quick editing of outputs. 

  1. Click the three-dot menu on the desired Output Panel, and then click Start Replay.

  1. Choose a Season and Game.
  2. Select a Playback Speed (e.g., 1x, 2x).

  1. Click Confirm to begin the replay.

Once a game or replay is scheduled, use the Dashboard to control playback:  

Note: Sliding the position marker through the event will update the data.
